Cape Coral Window Co. replaces and repairs windows and doors for homeowners in Cape Coral and the towns around it. We do one trade in one area, which means the person who measures your house knows the city’s permit desk, its building stock and the way salt air treats a window here.

Why a window company that only works the Cape
Cape Coral is not a typical Florida city. Most of it was laid out from the late 1950s onward as a planned community cut through with hundreds of miles of canals, and it grew in waves: small concrete-block houses in the southeast and southwest in the 1960s and 1970s, larger canal homes through the 1980s and 1990s, and fast-growing neighborhoods in the north Cape since. Each wave has its own window sizes, its own frame materials and its own problems.
That history is the reason we stay local. Knowing that a 1970s house off Cape Coral Parkway probably has mill-finish aluminum single-hungs in sizes nobody stocks, or that a newer house up near Burnt Store Road likely came with builder windows and panels, makes the first visit shorter and the quote more accurate.
How a job runs, from the first call
When you call or send the form, you talk to us, not a lead line that sells your number to three companies. We ask a few questions, set a time, and come to the house. Nobody shows up unannounced.
At the measure we check every opening you want priced, look at the frames and the block around them, and talk through styles, glass and colors with samples in hand. You get a written quote that lists each window and door on its own line with its size, product and price. There is no “today only” price and no pressure to sign at the kitchen table.
Once you decide, we file the permit, order the units built to size and give you an install date. On the day, the crew removes the old windows, installs and seals the new ones to the manufacturer’s instructions, finishes the trim and stucco returns, and cleans up. We meet the inspector for the final and hand you the paperwork your insurer will want.
What we install
- Impact and hurricane windows in vinyl and aluminum: single-hung, horizontal roller, casement, awning, picture and custom shapes.
- Standard insulated replacement windows where the opening is protected by approved shutters.
- Sliding glass doors, from two-panel lanai doors to multi-panel and pocketing units.
- Impact front doors, sidelights and French doors.
- Repairs: glass units, impact glass, balances, hardware, seals, slider rollers and tracks.
What we won’t do
We won’t sell a replacement when a repair will do the job, and we won’t price every opening at the highest wind rating to inflate a quote. We won’t leave the permit off to look cheaper, and we won’t put an impact slab in an old door frame. If something on your house is outside what we do, such as screen enclosures or roofing, we’ll say so rather than subcontract it blind.
Living with hurricane season
Everyone here remembers September 2022. Hurricane Ian came ashore at Cayo Costa, just west of the Cape, and the storm surge and wind changed how a lot of owners think about their windows. Some had shutters they never got up in time; some had old sliders that let the wind in. We hear those stories at nearly every measure, and they are why we push for protecting every opening, not just the easy ones.
We also know the season’s rhythm. Calls spike every September and after every named storm, and factories stretch their lead times. Measuring in the quieter months is the best way to have windows in before the next season starts.
Who you’ll deal with
A small team: the estimator who measures and quotes, the office that schedules and handles permits, and the install crew. The estimator stays your contact through the job, so the person who promised something is the person who answers for it. Licensing and insurance certificates are available on request before any work is booked.
A family company with its own installers
Cape Coral Window Co. is family-owned and run from an office here in the Cape. We hold a Florida certified general contractor license, CGC1531342, and the owner is the license holder, so the person answerable for your permit is the person running the company.
We don’t pass installs to whichever subcontractor bids lowest. Our own installers are certified by the manufacturers whose windows we fit, and they follow the maker’s written installation steps on every opening. That matters more than it sounds: a window that passes the city inspection but skips the factory steps can lose its product warranty years later, usually right when you need it.
Every installation is covered by a lifetime workmanship warranty, and it transfers to the next owner if you sell, which buyers and their inspectors tend to notice. Once the new units are in, the crew patches the stucco around each opening and touches up the paint, so the outside of the house looks finished the day we leave.
Where we work
All four quadrants of Cape Coral, plus Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Punta Gorda, North Fort Myers, Matlacha and Pine Island. If you’re not sure we reach your street, call (239) 426-7103 and ask.
